Seating arrangements
There is undercover seating for 8 persons comfortably around the table inside the vessel. There is also seating at the transom area at the rear of the vessel, on the forward deck below the mast and on the trampolines either side of the bows.
Length of charter
Minimum charter length is 4 hours. Extra time can be organised at an additional cost per hour.
Arrival at the wharf
We recommend that your party arrives at the wharf 30 minutes prior to your charter. The boats need to book the wharves and have a limited time to pick up and drop off your guests.
Preferred pick up and drop off locations
Our base at Rose Bay Marina is our main pick up / drop off point due to the ample off street parking and easy access for you and your guests to the wharf and the vessel.
Other pick up/drop off points are available e.g. King Street Wharf. Please note that pick ups other than Rose Bay Marina will attract an additional fee to cover wharf bookings and skippers time to get to your location.
Please keep in mind that at other locations, you may have a lengthy walk with food and eskies.
Multiple pick up and drop offs
We do not recommend multiple pick up and drop offs as this can waste a considerable amount of your charter time. Instead, we are happy to supply you with a water taxi contact number that can deliver or pick up guests at their convenience.
Entertainment options
Yes, the vessel is equipped with a CD radio system. Bring a selection of your favourite CD’s or iPod.
Catering
We can recommend some excellent caterers for you to speak with to design and deliver the perfect menu to suit your budget and taste.
Although Sydney Harbour Escapes is not a licensed supplier of liquor, if you are boarding at Rose Bay Marina, we recommend you call Rose Bay Drive-in Liquor Store (see link below), where you can pay by credit card over the phone and have your choice of alcohol delivered to
BYO options
Yes. We suggest that you bring boat friendly food that requires minimum preparation i.e. platter-style cold foods and any beverages that you will need for your charter. The vessel is equipped with reasonably sized gas BBQ including cooking utensils. The boat has cutlery, plates and glasses for 30 passengers as well as salad bowls, platters and other basic kitchen items. There is a gas stove and kettle on board for making tea and coffee. Bring along your own tea, coffee, sugar and milk. The boat has a large freezer and fridge unit in the galley. You are permitted to bring along additional coolers if required. Older style metal eskies are not allowed as they damage the boat. If boarding from Rose Bay Marina, ice can be purchased at the Marina Office during trading hours otherwise bring ice with you to your pick up point.
What to bring
As with any outdoor venue, we recommend that your guests dress for the season (i.e. sunscreen and a hat in summer, a warm jacket in winter).
Booking and Payment
We require a 50% deposit to lock the date for you. Once we have received the deposit payment, we will generate a contract for you with all your details. 2 weeks prior to the charter date we require the balance of the payment.
